With expansion of new offshore production, Acclaro is seeking professional talent to join its Bangkok team for Localization Tester/QA Engineer. The positions work under the direction of the Test Lead on all aspects of the localization testing process. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to join a rapidly growing, international organization with advanced level of training and career advancement opportunities.
Responsibilities:
Work with QA Engineer/Test Lead or client to gather the information needed to set up the testing environments.
Write test cases; determine process for logging bugs.
Set up testing machines and install products.
Perform pseudo-localization testing to identify internationalization issues before localization begins
Carry out localization testing, debug or escalate issues to client as needed.
Support linguists in resolving issues during the linguistic testing.
Provide input on localization and testing processes and assist cross-functional team in understanding these processes.
Qualifications
University degree or demonstrable equivalent in languages, communication, business or technology
Excellent communication skills including the ability to convey technical information to a cross-functional team.
Desire to work with software and languages
Experience with using applications on Windows
Good command of English will be advantage
Desired Skills:
Experience with software testing/SQA
Experience setting up and installing client server applications.
Experience with other DBs.
Experience with:
Web Servers
Java, HTML, rc files, as well as with Windows 2000 and XP
SQL server
Programming/scripting experience.
Experience with Unix.
Foreign language skills and experience with double-byte/bidirectional languages
