With expansion of new offshore production, Acclaro is seeking professional talent to join its Bangkok team for Desktop Publishing Specialist position. The position involves layout and format of help systems and documentation that have been translated into a variety of languages, graphics editing and working with a variety of translation memory tools. It involves a team-oriented approach, proficiency with DTP, UA, and graphics tools and an exceptional attention to details and ability to work under deadlines.
Desirable:
Experience with help authoring tools, specifically RoboHelp for Winhelp, Htmlhelp and Webhelp.
Ability to design, format, modify, compile, debug and QA help systems in a variety of languages.
Experience with Adobe FrameMaker and MS Word documentation creation, formatting, troubleshooting and PDF creation.
Experience with the major graphics editing tools, particularly Adobe PhotoShop and Illustrator
Experience with WebWorks Publisher
Ability to design document to help projects from scratch
Create and edit wdts
Generate and QA the outputted help.
Exposure to localization and familiarity with architecting user assistance and documentation projects with translation memory, including exposure to translation memory tools such as Trados Workbench.
Must be comfortable with Windows XP and 2003. Mac OS experience is a plus.
Experience with Adobe InDesign and Quark Xpress a plus.
Qualifications
University degree or equivalent experience
Posses over 3 years of experience in related field. Experience in Localization industry is a plus
Excellent communication skills including the ability to convey technical information to a cross-functional team
Must be fluent in English
Hard working and team player. Good attitude of working under high pressure and tight deadline
