PRIMARY FUNCTIONS

Preparation and filing of monthly, biannual and annual tax returns including income tax, VAT and withholding tax returns
Monthly compilation of Current and Deferred Tax Calculations in accordance with Thai Tax Regulations and US GAAP
Accurate and timely submission of statutory statements for multiple legal entities certified by the Company's external auditor
Coordinate with internal clients (Regional Tax, Corporation (Headquarters) Tax, Law, Planning, Commercial, Treasury and Operations) to identify tax planning opportunities and the timely resolution of possible tax issues
Act as focal point for contact with Government tax officers and responsible for maintaining good communication and positive relationships
Liaise with Revenue Department for efficient execution of tax audits/ appeals and minimize any exposure resulting from audits or relevant tax assessments
Participate on industry study teams as necessary
Monitor draft tax regulations and communicate possible impact to the business
Ensure Group is in compliance with all applicable Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) control objectives and that internal controls are adequately monitored and functioning as intended
Thailand is the principal area of focus, but the position includes tax support for Myanmar and Cambodia activities as well

Qualifications

Thai Statutory Regulations and Thai taxation activities (corporate income, VAT, withholding taxes) with knowledge of PITA being a strong plus
Thai and U. S. GAAP with knowledge of SFAS 109 - Accounting for Income Taxes being a strong plus
Corporate legal structures as well as joint venture operations and joint operating agreements
Strong leadership as well as providing day-to-day work direction and coaching
Strong English skills both verbal and written
